It was anything but an ordinary day trip to the Cincinnati Zoo for Hayley Roll and her boyfriend, Nick Kelble.
They wanted to see Fiona the hippo, who is probably the most famous critter at the zoo. The 550-pound, 9-month-old hippopotamus is truly a viral superstar. While at the hippo tank, Hayley handed her phone to a stranger and asked to snap some photos of the couple. And that’s when the magic really started.
“We’re so happy Fiona could be there on our special day ❤ here’s to many more years of going to zoos with you,” she wrote on Instagram.
You see, Nick got down on one knee.
And asked Hayley to marry him.
She said yes.
But Fiona really made this moment amazing.
And the ring? Gorgeous. We know these two will live happily ever after.
The zoo, of course, is tickled pink — and gray.
