‘Twas Monday Night Football, when all through the stadium.
At least one creature was stirring, causing absolute bedlam.
That’s when the NFL fans all snug in their seats started cheering.
When, what to their wondering eyes should appear.
But a tiny black cat, running here, running there.
Happy football to all and here’s one very good on-field call.
Kevin Harlan’s Westwood One radio call of the cat on the field is, as you might expect, an all-time great call. How much of a pro is Harlan? He worked a sponsor read into it. pic.twitter.com/3x0MVNEHNY

Yes, the cat runs into the end zone. That was a touch down.
Give that cat nine lives.
Or, as the Giants pointed out, Halloween isn’t over yet.

The touchdown cat definitely disrupted the party at MetLife Stadium as the hometown team lost 37-18 to the Cowboys.
Bad luck for the Giants, apparently.
But the call, is a thing of beauty.

So how did it wind up on the gridiron?
Asked building security about the black cat on the field: Apparently there are some resident stray cats at MetLife— they usually come out after the game, people feed them, etc. They live in the bleachers, I’m told this one must have gotten startled out by fan noise #journalism

And it never was caught.
“The black cat ran off the field and disappeared under a seating section,” according to MetLife stadium officials. “Once we locate and safely capture the cat, we will take it to a veterinarian for examination.”
For those wondering about the status of our furry friend 😺 at tonight’s @Giants game👇
