Wedding Crashers: Raccoons photobomb bride and groom in most magical way

Sarah and Zach Levenberg had the perfect wedding day — one made even more memorable when a gaze of raccoons proved to be the cutest party crashers.

The couple married last month in San Francisco and while taking photos in Golden Gate Park. That’s when their photographer, Kathryn White, snapped the most unexpected images.

“While taking wedding photos in the park, we were visited by a friendly family of five trash pandas!” Sarah posted later on Instagram. “They checked us out for a few minutes, then continued on their way down the path. I’m one singing-bird-on-the-shoulder away from Disney Princess status now, I think.”

Oh, and yes a group of raccoons is known as a gaze, or a nursery.

It was a first for White.

“I was freaked out at first, because they’re usually vicious and don’t hang out in the daytime,” she posted on social media. “But apparently city raccoons are super used to people, and just wanted to get in on some of the portraits!”

The second wedding I had this past weekend was in one of my favorite cities: San Francisco 😍 – Sarah & Zach had an intimate ceremony at the Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden at Golden Gate Park, followed by a gorgeous reception at the coolest venue in the Mission, Stable Cafe. – Every part of their day was perfect, but there were some definite highlights… like, when we were taking portraits in the park, and a family of friendly raccoons approached us. I was freaked out at first, because they’re usually vicious and don’t hang out in the daytime… but apparently city raccoons are super used to people, and just wanted to get in on some of the portraits! It was one of those moments I’ll never forget… a good omen, I think! – I’m still importing the photos from their day, but since they are leaving for their honeymoon tomorrow, I wanted to share the slightest sneak peek! More to come soon… – Congratulations Sarah & Zach! It was so much fun being a part of your day & I can’t wait to share more! ❤️ – Venue: @stablecafe #stablecafeweddings Coordinator: @birminkeley Flowers: @artifloragranville DJ: Nick Steele @nerdinickDJ Pies: @blackjetbaker Hair: Devon Ramirez @hairbydev Makeup: @CarinaStylin Catering: Delicious! She called it moment she’ll never forget — and perhaps, a good sign for the newlyweds.

“A good omen, I think!” White added.

Oh, and while people are enjoying the images of the raccoons, many are also asking about Sarah’s dress.

It’s Marchesa. And yes, it is gorgeous.

But we still think the trash pandas get the last laugh.

Everybody, even raccoons, love a party. Kathryn White Photography/Facebook
