Toronto Zoo has a good feeling about its baby zebra now named Obi

This is the zebra you’re looking for.

His name is Obi. And yes, it’s in honour of the Star Wars character, the Jedi master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The Grevy’s zebra was born last month at the Toronto Zoo, which promptly launched a naming contest for its “baby stripes.”

More than 7,500 people voted and selected a name based on a galaxy far, far away like previous zebra babies which were named Luke, Leia and Rey.

And the month-old zebra is totally squee.

Obi and his mother, Tori, are doing well, the zoo said.

The foal was born Feb. 13. Toronto Zoo/Twitter
