Tim Tebow shares heartbreaking goodbye to his dog, Bronco

Tim Tebow might be tough as nails on the gridiron, but the former NFL player shared a deeply emotional moment all pet owners can relate to.

The quarterback turned broadcaster broke down giving what he called “one of the toughest goodbyes” to his dog, Bronco.

In a gut-wrenching social post, he shared his dog’s last meal as well as other memories of his beloved Rhodesian Ridgeback. He also thanked Bronco’s veterinary team and ask for people who knew the dog to share stories about him.

“Wanted to make a special tribute to the sweetest boy ever – thank you for all the joy you brought and all the memories,” Tebow posted on Instagram Wednesday.

After Bronco crossed over the rainbrow bridge, Tebow posted an image of himself kneeling at Bronco’s grave marked by a cross.

“Im so thankful and humbled by everyone’s support, prayers and love,” he wrote. “I was able to lay Bronco to rest in a really special place. Thank you all for so much encouragement. I love you Bronco, thanks for being the sweetest boy.”

Tebow, who was a quarterback with the Denver Bronocs and the New York Jets, had Bronco since 2010.

That’s when he was drafted by Denver and fittingly named his dog after the team.

Fans and animal lovers have offered condolences to the grieving athlete.
