Singing dog Oscar dazzles Simon Cowell at America’s Got Talent

Simon Cowell may have finally found his unicorn.

The America’s Got Talent critic has said in the past that he’s on the search for a dog who can sing.

I’m not kidding. I’ve done this show a long time and I always said if we could find a dog that could sing, that would be everything to me.”

Oscar the singing retriever definitely got Cowelll’s attention on Tuesday’s night’s episode. Oscar sang along to Pachebel’s Canon in D Major played by his owner Pam.

Pam said she first discovered Oscar could sing about 18 months ago when she was playing the piano.

Not only can he sing, but Oscar can hold a note, Pam told Cowell and the other judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B.

He can even do a vibrato.”

The audience was first stunned and then reacted with pure joy at the singing dog. Backstage, Tyra Banks noted:

He’s on key!”

When the Canon was finished, Cowell and others gave the performers a standing ovation. But Pam didn’t get a complete pass. Cowell criticized her piano playing.

Your piano playing isn’t great, by the way. It could use a little practice.

Oscar got all the praise.

We may have found our first singing dog. Genuinely. This is exciting.
