Inga Sarda-Sorensen takes beautiful photos of the New York City skyline. The self-described “NYC enthusiast” turned her lens on the Empire State Building. This time she captured the plight of critters not indigenous to the city.

The Empire State Building had been promoting the event, Racing Extinction.
“We lit up the Empire State Building with the world’s most beautiful – and threatened – species to show the world what’s at stake,” it wrote. “Now it’s your turn to make a difference.”
And, shutterbugs like Sarda-Sorenson all over the city posted their best snaps.

And, any discussion about threatened species would not be complete without a mention of Cecil the lion. And he too was part of the show.
