Creepy, freaky or really cool.
Any way you look at it, the Oregon Zoo has provided a snapshot of the really inner workings of its animals. A behind-the-scenes look, if you will.
The facility shared black and white X-ray images of everything from a slithery ball snake to one big beaver tail.
“Amazing and gothy animal X-rays taken during health checks at our veterinary center,” the zoo said in a fascinating thread posted on Twitter.
It almost looks like art. In fact, it may well be.

The flying fox, is a bat, by the way, and it was taken while the bat was lying down.
Some things the zoo clarified online for puzzled observers.
