The story will make your weekend.
People, sometimes, are the absolute best.
Like this lady, for example.
This kind woman asked who our oldest, hardest to adopt dog was, and left with Jake! He is a senior, has cancer, and is grateful to go home! pic.twitter.com/fLUk8Dhued

The city of Sacramento’s animal shelter on Front Street posted Jake’s incredible fur-ever home story on social media Friday.
“Jake has been with us for a long time, is a senior and has cancer in addition to skin problems,” the shelter said. “He was getting passed up time and time again. But Melani came to the shelter not just to find a great dog, but to save a life and give unconditional love to a dog in need.”
“As you can see, it’s a match made in heaven,” the shelter added.
“Please help us thank Melani…People like her are our heroes.”
And soon after, warm fuzzies were felt around the world.
This kind soul went to the shelter and asked for the oldest, hardest to adopt dog. She left with Jake. Looks like a perfect match! ❤️ pic.twitter.com/bbuOqCWIVF
