Hurricane Harvey Pet Relief: Detroit Lions punter Sam Martin to donate dog food

Help is pouring in from all over the United States to help Hurricane Harvey victims.

And, that includes aid for displaced pets.

In a heartwarming gesture, Detroit Lions punter Sam Martin and his dog, Leo, are kicking in up to $10,000 worth of dog food to support furry flood victims around Houston.

The animal-loving football player’s gesture quickly got more than 160,000 retweets.

And Martin’s star-power is going toward helping human victims, too.

He is promoting a massive drive for supplies including everything from clothes and bedding to toiletries.

Trucks will be loaded in Detroit this weekend and bound for Houston.

The response so far has been phenomenal.

Martin and his dog are also quite adorable.

Peas in a pod, in fact.

Cuz he’s a goooodd booyyyyy 🍻🍻
