The speed at which this tortoise moves is actually pretty impressive. But no matter how fast it trots, a tiny remote-controlled pickup truck is perpetually out of reach. The 34-second video, which amassed more than 2.4 million views since it was posted to YouTube a few days ago, has also sparked accusations of animal cruelty.
But no matter how you look at it, the video may well prove that old fable true. Perhaps slow and steady does win the race.
