Bianca Andreescu is the smash of tennis world, but her dog is also an ace

UPDATE: Sept. 4, 2019

Bianca Andreescu battled her way to a spot in the U.S. Open semi-finals Wednesday night. She beat Belgium’s Elise Mertens in a tough-fought match to become only the third Canadian woman to get that far — and guess who was on hand to see history unfold? Her smallest — and cutest fan,  Coco.

“I need someone to pinch me right now,” she said after the match. “Is this real life? Is this real life?”

Sure, Bianca Andreescu beat Serena Williams to win the Rogers Cup over the weekend.

But can we talk about the Canadian teen-aged tennis phenomenon’s dog?

Coco was on hand, well, actually in Maria Andreescu’s arms as she and husband Nicu watched their only daughter win  at home in Toronto as Williams pulled out of the match due to injury.

Most are talking about Andreescu’s impressive — and compassionate — display of sportsmanship in embracing Williams post-match.

But the dog.

The dog was also in the house for one of the greatest achievements in Canadian tennis history.

The 19-year-old, who is now ranked 14th in the world in her sport, posted previously about her beloved animals.

Coco even attended the Miami Open earlier this year.

Here she is with her mother and Coco celebrating the holiday season last year.

Oh, and about the tennis.

Andreescu is the first Canadian woman to win the tournament in 50 years.

And, she is really big deal right now.

Kudos have poured in from around the tennis world.
